The dash is stunning and holds a set of white-faced factory gauges, factory wheel w/horn ring and original AM radio (needs TLC). The exterior is smartly complimented by a beautifully restored Saddle Tan vinyl interior. Rear quarter panels/skirts have been accented in Carolina Blue and a set of period correct American Racing wheels mount Toyo radial tires. The solid body was carefully prepped and a professional 2-stage coat of Colonial White Pearl was applied in 2008. This partially restored 1959 Thunderbird coupe is a nice example of what many consider the first 'personal luxury car'. It featured a long hood, unique 'squared' roofline and a lot of chrome. The model was only produced for three years, but sales improved every year. The 'square Thunderbird' was introduced in 1958 as a 4-seater and was an instant success. Many of us remember the second generation Thunderbird, but few are seen today.
